3-Year-Old Programs
Our 3-Year-Old program facilitates socialization by providing a safe and warm environment where parents are active participants in their child’s education. Three-year- olds are naturally curious, so our teachers offer them a wide range of developmentally appropriate toys and activities to encourage exploration. Teachers use dialogue to help children develop language and communication skills. Art activities provide numerous sensory experiences which develop fine motor skills, creativity, and intellectual growth. Teachers create a wide range of exciting activities each day that apply to the various interests and qualities of each child. We often introduce week-long units with a focus on one subject area (such as kindness, springtime, the rainforest, etc.) Regular classroom routines include circle time, storytelling, music, art, block-building, puzzles, playground time, and role-playing activities. We believe that each child has a unique blend of physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs and abilities. With a student-teacher ratio of approximately 7:1, we feel best able to learn about each child and help him or her to develop a positive self-image, and to feel competent and independent.
