Designed specifically with young preschool children in mind, our summer camp program plays a very special role in the Sound Shore community. The Camp draws on our strengths as an accredited and licensed nursery school with its experienced staff, appropriate equipment and early childhood health and safety expertise. Most importantly, it offers your preschooler a nurturing first-camp experience in a comfortable, age-appropriate, and non-competitive environment. At MCNS Summer Day Camp, the emphasis is on friendly fun for little ones. Our Camp is licensed by the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS).

Camp is held at the preschool (501 Tompkins Avenue). Children are grouped according to age and meet in one of four classrooms. They have daily access to the school’s large and partially shaded playground. There is no swimming pool, but lots of opportunity for safe water play.

Activities

Camp days are jam-packed with playful activities. Good, safe fun is our goal. Children play indoors and outdoors every day, weather permitting. We offer creative art and movement experiences, as well as storytelling, sand play, face painting, sprinkler time, and water table play. At the end of the summer, we host a family brunch for campers and their families.
